How to Install a WordPress Theme
Installing a WordPress theme is a straightforward process that allows you to customize the look and functionality of your website. Follow these steps to upload and activate your theme.
Step 1: Download the Theme File
After purchasing or downloading your theme, you will receive a compressed ZIP file. Ensure you keep this file as is—WordPress requires it in this format for installation.
Step 2: Access the WordPress Dashboard
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Appearance → Themes.
- Click the Add New button at the top of the page.
Step 3: Upload and Install the Theme
- Click Upload Theme and then Choose File.
- Select the ZIP file of your theme from your device.
- Click Install Now and wait for WordPress to upload and process the file.
